Teaching Philosophy

With ten years of experience under my belt, I have had the privilege of being able to share my passion and love of music to over 500 students, ranging from adolescent beginners to undergraduate’s majoring in piano performance. Regardless of age and skill level, I believe that no two musical ears are the same, and it is of upmost importance that a teacher adjusts the lesson to cater the pupils wants and needs. With that being said, method books are very practical to use in the lesson. Having been taught by the maestro himself, Tony Caramia, I am  devoted in using Hal Leanord's All-In-One Piano Lessons for my beginner students. As the student becomes familiar with the grand staff, I like to progress the students musical understanding by using both Helen Marlais' Succeeding at the Piano series, as well as the Masterwork Classics series. These books will prepare the pupil to graduate into the works of our world's most celebrated musical idols, such as Frederic Chopin, Robert Schumann, and even Adele!
